Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 25, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Fare, a subscription tracking app. By using Fare, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. About Fare

Fare is a manual subscription tracking app. Fare helps you organize subscriptions you choose to enter, view renewal dates, estimate monthly and yearly subscription costs, manage favorites, receive optional reminders, and view subscription insights.

Fare does not connect to your bank account, scan your email, read your purchase history, or automatically detect subscriptions from other apps. Fare depends on information you manually enter and maintain.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Fare. If you are under the age of majority in your region, you may use Fare only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Entering accurate subscription information
  • Keeping renewal dates, prices, plan names, and payment notes up to date
  • Reviewing reminders and calendar information for accuracy
  • Maintaining your own payment obligations with third-party subscription providers
  • Cancelling subscriptions directly with the provider when needed
  • Keeping exported backup files secure
  • Using Fare in compliance with applicable laws

Fare is an organizational tool. Fare does not cancel subscriptions for you, pay bills for you, contact subscription providers for you, or guarantee that any subscription information is complete or current.

4. No Financial Advice

Fare provides estimates and organizational information only. Fare is not a financial advisor, budgeting service, accounting service, or payment processor.

Monthly and yearly totals are estimates based on the data you provide. Actual charges may differ because of taxes, discounts, trials, currency changes, billing changes, provider price increases, missed updates, or other factors.

You should verify charges, billing cycles, renewal dates, and cancellation policies directly with each subscription provider.

5. Free Features

Fare may offer free features, including local subscription tracking, limited active subscriptions, limited favorites, basic widgets, basic reminder options, ads, and import/export features.

Free feature limits may change over time.

6. Fare+

Fare+ is a paid subscription that unlocks premium features while your subscription is active.

Fare+ may include:

  • Cloud Sync
  • Premium widgets
  • Advanced reminder options
  • Premium theme colors
  • Expanded active subscription limit
  • Expanded favorites limit
  • Ad-free experience

Fare+ features may evolve over time. Fare may add, remove, rename, or modify features as the app develops, provided that the subscription offering remains reasonably consistent with the advertised premium experience.

7. Fare+ Subscription Plans

Fare+ may be offered as monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscription plans.

Current plans may include:

  • Monthly Fare+
  • Yearly Fare+

Prices, billing periods, promotional offers, and availability may vary by country or region and are shown in the App Store purchase screen before confirmation.

Fare+ subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, according to Apple's App Store subscription rules.

Your Apple ID may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

8. Managing or Cancelling Fare+

Fare+ subscriptions are managed through Apple.

You can manage, cancel, or review your subscription through Apple's App Store subscription settings. Fare may also provide a "Manage Subscription" button that opens Apple's subscription management flow when available.

Deleting the Fare app or deleting your Fare account does not automatically cancel your Fare+ subscription. You must cancel Fare+ through Apple if you do not want it to renew.

9. In-App Purchases and Payments

Fare+ purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Fare does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Your purchase is subject to Apple's App Store terms, payment rules, refund rules, and family sharing rules.

If you experience purchase issues, use Restore Purchases in the app or contact support.

10. Refunds

Because Fare+ is purchased through the App Store, refund requests are handled by Apple, not directly by Fare.

You can request a refund through Apple's official refund process:

Approval of refunds is controlled by Apple and subject to Apple's policies.

11. Restore Purchases

Fare includes a Restore Purchases option so you can restore Fare+ access when supported by Apple and RevenueCat.

Restore Purchases may require access to the Apple ID used for the original purchase.

12. Cloud Sync

Cloud Sync is a Fare+ feature. If you sign in with Apple and have an active Fare+ subscription, Fare may sync your app data to Fare's cloud database.

Cloud Sync may include:

  • Subscription records
  • Favorites
  • Timeline events
  • App preferences
  • Widget layout
  • Account profile information from Apple Sign-In

Cloud Sync is provided to help restore or sync your Fare data across devices. Fare is not responsible for data loss caused by incorrect user input, deletion, device issues, account issues, third-party outages, network problems, unsupported app versions, or sync conflicts.

You should keep your own backup if your data is important to you.

13. Account Creation and Account Deletion

Fare may allow account creation through Sign in with Apple.

If you create an account, you may delete your Fare account from within the app. Account deletion is intended to delete your Fare account profile and cloud sync data associated with that account.

Account deletion does not cancel an active Fare+ subscription. Fare+ subscriptions must be managed or cancelled through Apple's App Store subscription settings.

14. Guest Mode and Local Data

Fare may be used without signing in. If you use Fare as a guest, your data is stored locally on your device unless you export it.

Local data may be lost if you delete the app, erase your device, reset app data, or replace data through import.

15. Import and Export

Fare may allow you to export a backup file and import a backup file.

You are responsible for protecting exported backup files. Backup files may contain subscription information, settings, favorites, timeline history, widget layout, and other app data.

Only import files from sources you trust. Fare is not responsible for issues caused by corrupted, edited, unsupported, or unsafe backup files.

16. Notifications and Reminders

Fare may provide optional local renewal reminders. Notifications are based on the renewal dates, reminder offsets, and reminder times you configure.

Reminders are provided for convenience only. Fare does not guarantee that notifications will always be delivered, accurate, or timely. Notification delivery may depend on device settings, iOS settings, Focus modes, permissions, time zones, app state, and system behavior.

You remain responsible for managing your subscriptions and payments.

17. Advertising

Fare may show ads to free users. Ads may be served by Google AdMob or related advertising services.

Fare may request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework for personalized advertising. If you deny tracking permission, ads may still appear but may be less personalized.

Fare may also use Google User Messaging Platform to manage advertising consent where required.

Fare+ users receive an ad-free experience while Fare+ is active.

18. Third-Party Services

Fare may use third-party services, including:

  • Apple for App Store purchases, subscriptions, Sign in with Apple, notifications, and App Tracking Transparency
  • RevenueCat for purchase, subscription, and entitlement management
  • Supabase for authentication and cloud sync
  • Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform for advertising and consent where applicable
  • Brandfetch for brand logos

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Fare is not responsible for third-party services, outages, decisions, policies, or data practices.

19. Brand Names and Logos

Fare may display names, domains, logos, or categories of third-party subscription services so users can identify subscriptions they track.

All third-party names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Fare is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with those third-party services unless explicitly stated.

20. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Fare for illegal purposes
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the app
  • Interfere with Fare's services or cloud systems
  • Upload or import malicious files
  • Abuse, overload, or disrupt cloud sync or third-party services
  • Misrepresent your identity or ownership of data
  • Use Fare in a way that infringes the rights of others

21. Changes to Fare

Fare may change over time. Features, designs, limits, integrations, pricing, and availability may be updated, added, or removed.

Fare may also suspend or discontinue features if required for technical, legal, security, business, or platform reasons.

22. Updates

You may need to update Fare to continue using certain features, including cloud sync, purchases, ads, subscriptions, or third-party integrations.

Fare is not responsible for issues caused by outdated app versions.

23. Availability

Fare is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Fare may experience interruptions, bugs, data delays, third-party outages, or compatibility issues.

Fare does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service.

24. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fare disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.

Fare does not guarantee that:

  • Subscription data will be complete or accurate
  • Reminders will always be delivered
  • Cost estimates will match actual charges
  • Cloud sync will always be available
  • Third-party logos or brand data will always load
  • Ads will always display or remain available
  • Fare+ features will be available on every device, region, or app version forever

25. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fare and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost data, missed payments, missed cancellations, subscription fees, lost profits, or loss of goodwill.

Fare's total liability for any claim related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for Fare+ in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $10 if you did not purchase Fare+.

Some regions do not allow certain limits on liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

26. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country or region.

If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another region with mandatory consumer rights, you may have additional rights that cannot be waived by contract.

27. EU and UK Digital Content Notice

Fare is a digital app and may include digital content and digital services. By downloading, using, subscribing to, or purchasing Fare/Fare+, you understand that digital content or services may begin immediately.

Where applicable, by choosing to access digital content or services immediately, you may lose certain withdrawal or cancellation rights once performance begins, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

For App Store purchases and subscriptions, Apple's terms, cancellation process, and refund process apply.

28. EU Trader / Business Information

For users in regions where trader or business identity information is required, the responsible developer/trader information is:

Developer: Christopher Appio Contact Email: christopherappio@gmail.com Support Website: https://usefare.app/support

29. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, except where local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

30. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a legal claim, please contact Fare support so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

Any disputes will be handled in the courts or dispute forum required by applicable law. If permitted, disputes will be handled in Osceola County, Florida.

31. Termination

You may stop using Fare at any time.

Fare may suspend or restrict access to cloud features if you violate these Terms, misuse services, create security risks, or if required by law or platform rules.

Termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund. App Store refund requests are handled by Apple.

Deleting your account or stopping use of Fare does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription.

33. Changes to These Terms

Fare may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, Fare may provide notice through the app, website, or App Store listing where appropriate.

Your continued use of Fare after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
